Kyle of Durness is nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. The Kyle is a coastal inlet of around 0,5 mile (800 metres) wide and tidal with only a narrow channel of water remaining at low tide along most of its length. The juxtaposition of the coastal environment with the rugged terrain creates a dynamic setting, attracting a diverse range of birds throughout the seasons. Watch for Austernfischer, Großer Brachvogel, Graureiher, Brandseeschwalbe, Mantelmöwe and other birds.
