Zugang
Leave Plymouth on the A386 signposted Tavistock, on leaving the suburb of Roberough look for a left turn marked Maristow and Lopwell Dam, on minor roads this eventually takes you to the dam. The Tavy Estuary heads roughly South West from here, with a road (eventually narrowing) that takes you to Blaxton Woods and Blaxton Creek.

BE WARNED, the crossing right below the dam is tidal, CHECK HIGH TIDE TIMES before crossing. To get more views of the lake, there are footpaths on the North West bank, that eventually get very steep and treacherous.
