Parc Bryn Bach is a country park with lake. Eisvogel nest sites on the island. The area also has a Uferschwalbe colony. Feldlerche, Rotmilan, Haubentaucher, Reiherente. Occasional rarity, eg Kanadabergente in 2013. The moors to the south, with footpath access, rise to 450 metres, look for possible Schwarzkehlchen, Steinschmätzer, Ziegenmelker, Mäusebussard, Kolkrabe, Wiesenpieper, Kuckuck, Wasseramsel or Gebirgsstelze.

From A465 Heads of the Valleys road, take Tredegar turning, then first right on minor road for half a mile. Car park on the left. Click on the P in the map for directions. Buses from Abergavenny or Cardiff. No train station nearby.
