Beschreibung
Ruddon's Point is said to be the best place in Britain to view overwintering Trauerente, Samtente and the rare Brillenente together. Also wintering here may be Eiderente, Schellente, Gänsesäger, Rothalstaucher, Ohrentaucher, all 3 diver species, Meerstrandläufer and Mittelsäger.
Feldlerche, Strandpieper, Austernfischer, Rotschenkel, Sandregenpfeifer and Bluthänfling breed here, plus Fichtenkreuzschnabel, Erlenzeisig and Wintergoldhähnchen in the pines.
As with many east coast sites, rare migrants such as Sperbergrasmücke, Gelbbrauen-Laubsänger and Zwergschnäpper may turn up in September.
