Access

Observatorio de Colibries is located 30 km east of Bogotá. Driving here from Bogotá takes about an hour and a half, on paved roads except for the short final stretch. It is easy to get lost, but Google Maps shows the place in the correct location and thus serves as a reliable navigation tool. Press P on the map for directions. Turn right onto the property and drive all the way to the end, where there is a decent-sized parking lot, and explore the garden on foot.
