Ballastière de Bischheim is a former gravel and sand extraction site that is transformed into a natural reserve and recreational area. In winter, it is easy to observe many Μαυροκέφαλη Πάπια and Γκισάρι. There are also many Καστανοκέφαλος Γλάρος and Ασημόγλαρος της Μεσογείου. In summer, there are only (Βουβός) Κύκνος, (Κοινή) Φαλαρίδα and Σκουφοβουτηχτάρι and a few (Κοκκινόλαιμο) Νανοβουτηχτάρι.

Ballastière de Bischheim is a former gravel and sand extraction site located in Bischheim near Strasbourg. It's quite far from the tram stop, so it's better to take the car or a bicycle. There's a large parking lot. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The circular walk around the lake is approximately 2 km.
