Description
The Denkendorf Erlachsee is a small lake just southwest of Denkendorf. The lake is surrounded by a little forest. Beyond this forest edge lies an open agricultural landscape. The lake was created by the monks of Denkendorf Abbey, who raised carp in the pond. Birds you can observe include (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη, Γκισάρι, Μαυροκέφαλη Πάπια, Σταχτοτσικνιάς, Μαυροσκούφης, (Μεγάλο) Καλαμοτσίχλονο and Καλαμοποταμίδα.

The Denkendorf Erlachsee lies on state road L 1204 between Denkendorf and Neuhausen. Parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the lake. Press P on the map for directions.
