Description
Kompostieranlage Geismar is a composting facility located directly next to Bundesstrasse 253. It can be accessed either from Frankenberg or from the other direction, from Geismar. Once people have left the site at 4:00 PM, the birds take over and search for anything of value. If one bird catches something, the others try to steal it. The main species found here are Ψαλιδιάρης , (Κοινός) Κόρακας , (Σταχτιά) Κουρούνα, and Τσίφτης. The area is an open, hilly landscape bordering a coniferous forest. The Heimbach stream attracts smaller songbirds such as Λευκοσουσουράδα , Αιγίθαλος , and (Κοινός) Κότσυφας.

Kompostieranlage Geismar is located between Geismar and Frankenberg. and is accessible via the B253 road from Geismar and Frankenberg. Parking is available on the roadside at the entrance to the facility after it has closed. Press P on the map for directions.
