Description
The Wehramündung is a small but ecologically rich nature reserve on the point where the river Wehra flows into the Rhine. The protected area covers a little over 12 hectares. The landscape is shaped by the interaction of the Wehra and the Rhine, with shallow water zones, reed beds, gravel banks, and a lagoon‑like basin. The Wehramündung offers good conditions for birdwatching. Rare species can be regularly spotted. In winter these include ducks and divers like Κηλιδοβούτι. In spring you can often observe Αργυροτσικνιάς.
