Description
Anna's Berg is a migratory bird counting station where several rare species are spotted annually. A visit to the counting station is most enjoyable during the autumn or spring migration. Rare species are regularly spotted here, especially with easterly winds. Examples include: Βλαχοτσίχλονο, Hooded Crow, Στεπόκιρκος, Μαύρος Πελαργός, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Μαυροκιρκίνεζο, and Ωχροκελάδα.
Spring migration is a wonderful time here. Late April and May, in particular, regularly see good bird migration. In the spring of 2025, for example, a (Ευρωπαϊκό) Μαυροκιρκίνεζο flew over.
But during autumn migration is often at its best. An Βλαχοτσίχλονο has already flown over here twice in early autumn, around late August/September. A Ωχροκελάδα and Μαύρος Πελαργός have also been discovered around that time. In October, when autumn migration is at its peak, some interesting birds are also found. In 2025, a Hooded Crow and a Στεπόκιρκος.

Nederlands: Anna's Berg is een trektelpost waar jaarlijks meerdere zeldzaamheden opduiken. Een bezoek aan de trektelpost is dan ook het leukst tijdens de najaars- of voorjaarstrek. Vooral met oostenwind duiken hier geregeld zeldzamen soorten op. Voorbeelden hiervan zijn: Βλαχοτσίχλονο, Hooded Crow, Στεπόκιρκος, Μαύρος Πελαργός, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Μαυροκιρκίνεζο, en Ωχροκελάδα!
De voorjaarstrek is een hele leuke tijd hier. Vooral eind april en mei is hier geregeld goede vogeltrek. In het voorjaar van 2025 kwam er bijvoorbeeld een (Ευρωπαϊκό) Μαυροκιρκίνεζο langs gevlogen.
Maar vaak is de vogeltrek in het najaar het allerbest. In het vroege najaar, rond eind augustus/september is hier al twee keer een Βλαχοτσίχλονο over gevlogen. Ook zijn er rond die tijd een Ωχροκελάδα, en Μαύρος Πελαργός ontdekt. In oktober, wanneer de najaarstrek op z'n hoogtepunt is, worden er ook leuke dingen gevonden. In 2025 een Hooded Crow en een Στεπόκιρκος.

Access
Anna's Berg is located on the eastern edge of Hilversum. There are plenty of parking spaces on the Hilversum side. Press P on the map for directions to a parking lot. You can also take the train to Hilversum Central Station and then cycle from there. You can stay on the hill as long as you like. There are also quite a few woods around the hill, which can sometimes be home to all sorts of birds in the winter and autumn!

Nederlands: Anna's Berg ligt aan de oostelijk rand van Hilversum. Er zijn aan de kant van Hilversum aardig wat parkeerplekken. Druk op P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar een parkeerplaats. Maar je kan ook met de trein naar Hilversum centraal station en vanaf daar met de fiets. Je kan zo lang op de berg staan als je zelf wil. Om de berg heen zijn ook aardig wat bosjes waar in de winter en in het najaar soms van alles kan zitten!
