Description
The Tjamme is one of the first nature development projects in the Netherlands. You will now find marsh, grassland, open water and forest. In winter, hundreds of geese and ducks visit the area to rest and eat. In the autumn you can observe groups of (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρομύτα. The Tjamme itself is not accessible, but you can walk around the area and there is also a bird watching screen from behind which you can observe the birds on the lake. Birds that you can see here include (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αβοκέτα, Αργυροτσικνιάς, Βαρβάρα, (Ευρασιατική) Τουρλίδα, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Λιμόζα, Ορτυκομάνα (not every year), Στικτοπουλάδα, Σχοινοποταμίδα, Θαμνοτριλιστής, Γαλαζολαίμης, Μαυρολαίμης and Χρυσοτσίχλονο.

De Tjamme zelf is niet toegankelijk, maar je kunt wel om het gebied heen lopen en er is ook een vogelkijkscherm van waarachter je de vogels op de plas kunt observeren.
