Description
The Knarbos Oost is a young forest area with reeds and small marshy parts. You can spot almost all summer guest songbirds there, because there are so many hawthorn bushes. For example (Κοινό) Αηδόνι, Θαμνοτσιροβάκος, Lesser Whitethroat and Κιτρινοστριτσίδα. In the young forest you can already find Πευκοδρυοκολάπτης and Νανοδρυοκολάπτης. In the fields around the forest, the Βουνοσφυριχτής is sometimes seen in the spring, and in the winter Χιονογερακίνα and Νανογέρακο.

Nederlands: Het Knarbos Oost is een mooi, klein bosgebied met veel zangvogels. Het is een jong bosgebied met riet en kleine moerassen. Je kunt er nagenoeg alle zomergast zangvogels spotten, omdat er zoveel meidoornstruiken zijn. Bijvoorbeeld (Κοινό) Αηδόνι, Θαμνοτσιροβάκος, Lesser Whitethroat en Κιτρινοστριτσίδα. In het jonge bos zitten al Πευκοδρυοκολάπτης en Νανοδρυοκολάπτης. In de akkers rond het bos wordt in het voorjaar wel eens de Βουνοσφυριχτής gezien en in de winter Χιονογερακίνα en Νανογέρακο.

Knarbos Oost is located south of Lelystad Airport. It is easily accessible via Vogelweg N706. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The area is best explored on foot. The circular walk indicated on the map is approximately 4 km.
