This is a great place for migrant waterbirds and other lake birds! A lot of rare birds visit this island each year and there is always something interesting to see! Most rarities turn up in April, May, September or October.
Wintering waterfowl including Κηλιδοβούτι, Κοκκινοβουτηχτάρι, other Grebes, several species of Duck, including Χιονόπαπια. Migrating waders in spring and autumn, including (Ευρωπαϊκός) Στρειδοφάγος, Καλαμοκανάς, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αβοκέτα, Μαυρότρυγγας, Θαλασσοσφυριχτής, Αργυροπούλι, Χαλικοκυλιστής, Θαλασσολιμόζα and many more. Also Νανόγλαρος, Στικτοπουλάδα, Μαυρογλάρονο, Αργυρογλάρονο and Μουστακογλάρονο and raptors and passerines pass over this spot.
