Description
Brandon Marsh has 8 bird hides situated around the reserve, overlooking pools hosting flocks of (Ευρωπαϊκό) Σφυριχτάρι, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκίρι and (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρόπαπια in winter, amongst smaller numbers of (Ευρωπαϊκή) Βουκεφάλα. Scrapes host passage waders in spring and autumn, with breeding Κοκκινοσκέλης, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Στρειδοφάγος and Ποταμοσφυριχτής in summer. Other notable breeding species include good numbers of Καλαμοποταμίδα, Σχοινοποταμίδα and (Ευρωπαϊκό) Ψευταηδόνι, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κούκος and (Ευρωπαϊκή) Νεροκοτσέλα. Δεντρογέρακο are everpresent throughout summer and into autumn. During the winter Brandon is often host to a Caspian Gull which winters amongst the gulls on East Marsh, with a few Yellow-legged Gulls mixed in too. Notable rarities over the last few years have included Ραβδοσκαλίδρα and Θωρακωτή Σκαλίδρα, Κόκκινος Φαλαρόποδας, Στραβολαίμης and Κοκκινοκεφαλάς.

Access
Located off Brandon lane, best access is by driving but it is possible to cycle or walk from nearby Brandon village or Binley. Once parked, explore the reserve on foot.
