Stone Point offers a good vantage point over the River Colne with species such as Θαλασσοπρίστης flying in and out of the Estuary. In the bushes and muddy areas you can find Μαυρολαίμης, (Μεγάλο) Καλαμοτσίχλονο and Θαλασσοκελάδα during the winter and if you are lucky Χιονοτσίχλονο. The saltmarsh and beach are good places to watch Δαχτυλιδόχηνα, Λευκοσκαλίδρα, Κοκκινοσκαλίδρα, Λασποσκαλίδρα, Αμμοσφυριχτής, Κοκκινοσκέλης, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αβοκέτα, (Ευρασιατική) Τουρλίδα, Αργυροπούλι, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Λιμόζα and Θαλασσολιμόζα at close range during the winter. The area can be busy with visitors so early or late visits can be productive.
