Description
Gronant has 200 pairs of breeding (Ευρωπαϊκό) Νανογλάρονο and some Χειμωνογλάρονο and Ποταμογλάρονο. Several wader species, Βραχοκιρκίνεζο, Ανθρωποπούλλι, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Μαυρόπαπια, (Κοινή) Σιταρήθρα and (Κοινό) Φανέτο. On the 4 ha Big Pool reserve there are (Μεγάλο) Καλαμοτσίχλονο, Καλαμοποταμίδα, Βουνοδεντροβάτης, Σταχτοσουσουράδα, Σταχτομυγοχάφτης, (Κοινό) Λούγαρο and (Ευρωπαϊκή) Νεροκοτσέλα. Sand lizards, natterjack toads, pyramid orchids, sea holly, sea purslane and other wildflowers can be found in the dunes.
