Description
On the islands of Loch Maree Islands National Nature Reserve Κηλιδοβούτι and Λαμπροβούτι nest. Ψαραετός, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Θαλασσαετός, Χρυσαετός, Πετρίτης, Χειμωνόκιρκος, (Κοινή) Γερακίνα and (Κοινός) Κόρακας may be seen overhead. (Κοινός) Σταυρομύτης, woodpeckers, (Ευρασιατική) Μπεκάτσα, Δασοφυλλοσκόπος, Μαυρομυγοχάφτης and Δεντροτσοπανάκος in the woods. Perhaps (Ευρωπαϊκή) Βομβυκίλα in winter. Pine marten are fairly common in the area and may visit the feeders in the car parks. Red deer, roe deer and red squirrels, possibly wild cat.

Access
There are several parking spots along the main road. The site is 60 miles west of Inverness and 105 miles north of Fort William. Boat trips available from the Maree Hotel.
