Middleton-in-Teesdale is a market town in County Durham. The settlement is surrounded by the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Spring offers a great opportunity of seeing a range of birds, including woodland specialists (Μαυρομυγοχάφτης (Κοινός) Φοινίκουρος), moorland specialists and bird of upland rivers such as Λυροπετεινός, Ακτίτης and (Ευρωπαϊκός) Νεροκότσυφας. Among the other birds you can encounter are Χιονοκότσυφας, Σταχτοσουσουράδα, (Κοινό) Λούγαρο and (Κοινή) Σιταρήθρα.
