Description
Morton Lochs is made up of three small lochs fringed with reeds, which provide shelter and protection for many birds. The area has five bird hides and a variety of habitats. 113 species are recorded in the area including (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη, Μαυροκέφαλη Πάπια, (Κοινή) Πουπουλόπαπια, Κοκκινοσκέλης, Καπακλής, Pink-footed Goose, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Σαρσέλα, Σταχτοτσικνιάς, Χειμωνόκιρκος and Πευκοδρυοκολάπτης. At dusk, five species of bat may be seen.

Access
Drive or cycle south from Tayport and take a sharp left turn to the reserve car park. Click on the P in the map to get directions. By public transport – the nearest bus stops are in Tayport and Leuchars. Buses will stop by request at the Morton Lochs road end. The nearest station is Leuchars on the Edinburgh – Aberdeen line.
