Description
From September to November, and in April/May Painswick hill is good for seeing migrants, especially early morning. Hundreds of (Κοινή) Φάσσα, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Βροχοπούλι, (Κοινός) Σπίνος, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Ψαρόνι, Κεδρότσιχλα, Κοκκινότσιχλα and (Ευρωπαϊκή) Κίσσα can pass through. Also Χειμωνόσπινος, (Κοινό) Λούγαρο, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κοκκοθραύστης, Χρυσοτσίχλονο, Δεντρογέρακο, Πετρίτης, Νανογέρακο, Χιονοκότσυφας, Ψαλιδιάρης, (Κοινό) Ξεφτέρι and Χειμωνόκιρκος possible. 4 miles south of Gloucester on B4073 Painswick road. M5 junction 12. 66 bus from Cheltenham stops nearby. Be aware of golfers, dont obstruct play or become an accidental target. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 4,5 km.
