Description
Peterstone Gout has freshwater ponds, tidal mudflats and scrub. A large variety of waders in spring and autumn, passerines including Καλαμοποταμίδα, Lesser Whitethroat, Μαυρολαίμης and Σταχτοπετρόκλης. Other birds you can encounter are (Κοινός) Λευκοτσικνιάς, Βαλτόμπουφος, raptors and (Ευρωπαϊκή) Νεροκοτσέλα.

Short distance south of B4239 between Newport and Cardiff. M4 J30 from Cardiff or J28 from Newport. Very limited parking at south end of Outfall lane, then walk west along/below sea wall for one mile. Otherwise seek parking permission from Golf club, Garden centre or walnut tree farm park nearby.
