At Traeth Lafan during winter one can see (Ευρωπαϊκός) Στρειδοφάγος, (Ευρασιατική) Τουρλίδα, Κοκκινοσκέλης, Λασποσκαλίδρα and Αργυροπούλι in large numbers. Also Νανόγλαρος, Θαλασσοπρίστης, (Κοινός) Λευκοτσικνιάς, Βαλτόμπουφος, Νανογέρακο and Πετρίτης, Λιβαδοκελάδα and Θαλασσοκελάδα. Visit either side of high tide for best results (see link to the Tides table below).

By road, 2 miles east of Bangor. Head north of A55 on minor road. Click on the P in the map for directions. The route indicated on the map is about 4 km.
