Description
Valley Wetlands RSPB Reserve has (Ευρασιατικός) Ήταυρος that can be heard booming and occasionally flying over the reedbeds. There is a Οχθοχελίδονο colony on the river Crigyll, plus (Μεγάλο) Καλαμοτσίχλονο, Καλαμοποταμίδα, Σχοινοποταμίδα, Θαμνοτριλιστής, Μαυρολαίμης and (Κοινή) Σιταρήθρα. In winter (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρόπαπια, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Σφυριχτάρι, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκίρι and Ψαλίδα (του Βορά). Best to visit before 8.30 am as the jets from the aerodrome are noisy later on. There are otters, dragonflies and pyramid orchids.

Valley Wetlands has a car park on site. The reserve is in the NW corner of Anglesey and accessible by bus or car, see link below. There is also a train station at Rhosneigr.
