Description

Big Almaty Lake, about 30 kilometers south of the city of Almaty, is a glacial-fed lake situated at just over 2.500 meters in the Tien Shan Mountains. A great place for birding and lots of specialities and eastern mountain birds. This is an area where the wide, braided, stony river beds are home to the utterly unique Ibisbill.
