Jells Park is a public park in Wheelers Hill. It opened in 1976 and is named after Joseph Jell, a cattle grazier, who workd in the area in the mid 1800s.

Jells Park is a public park that covers 127 hectares and is nestled in the Dandenong Creek Valley. The park has a big lake. Lovely area go to birding, but also have a picnic, walk dogs, etc. There are also public toilets. Birds you can observe include Australasian Darter, Australian White Ibis, Australasian Grebe, Little Pied Cormorant, Purple Swamphen and Grey Butcherbird.

Accesso

Jells Park is located in Wheelers Hill, approximately 27 km east from central Melbourne. Vehicle access is from either Ferntree Gully Road at the south of the park, or Waverley Road to the north. Enter by foot along Dandenong Creek Trail, Scotchmans Creek Trail or via Eastlink Trail (off Ferntree Gully Road). Parking at both areas. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking. Walking tracks around the large lake and cycling paths. Picnic areas and there is a bird hide as well. Open 24/7.
