Descripción
Baiwangshan Forest Park (百望山森林公园) sits at the end of a long mountain range running northeast-southwest. Each spring and autumn, thousands of birds pass this area during their migration. Local birdwatchers frequent this area especially for raptor monitoring, documenting large numbers of Oriental Honey-buzzard, Amur Falcon, Sparrowhawk etc. Other non-raptor migrants include Daurian Redstart, Red-breasted Flycatcher and Brambling etc. The forest in the part itself hosts common resident species such as Oriental Turtle Dove, Silver-throated Tit and Oriental Greenfinch.

The area where birders gather to observe raptor migration is along an exposed ridge in the southern part. Arriving there from the entrance on foot will take about 20 to 30 minutes of light hiking on paved trails. Expect moderate ups and downs.
