Descripción
Henc is the most important wetland in Kosovo. It was artificially created in the late sixties, aiming at the cultivation of fish. The wetland was created by the conflux of Magura and Vrella water flows, which are branches of Sitnica River. With the surface of 74 ha, biodiversity in the Henc wetland is considered quite rich compared to its size. It attracts many birds. Among the birds you can see in the area are Cerceta Carretona, Cuchara Común, Porrón Europeo, Porrón Pardo, Cigüeñuela común, Fumarel Cariblanco, Cormorán Pigmeo, Avetoro Común, Avetorillo común, Garza Imperial, Garcilla Cangrejera, Martinete Común, Pájaro-moscón Europeo, Escribano Triguero, Aguilucho Cenizo, Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental, Carricerín Real and Carricero Tordal.
