Baggersee is a popular recreational lake created from a former gravel pit. It is easy to observe Focha Común and Cisne Vulgar with their young (summer). In winter, Gaviota Patiamarilla arrive in large numbers accompanied by Cormorán Grande and Porrón Moñudo.

Baggersee is located just south of Strasbourg, in the town of Illkirch-Graffenstaden. It's easily accessible by public transport from Strasbourg city center, with tram line A. From the tram stop (1) it is a short walk to the Baggersee. You can also park near the lake. Press P on the map for directions to the parking.
