The Denkendorf Erlachsee is a small lake just southwest of Denkendorf. The lake is surrounded by a little forest. Beyond this forest edge lies an open agricultural landscape. The lake was created by the monks of Denkendorf Abbey, who raised carp in the pond. Birds you can observe include Martín Pescador Común, Porrón Europeo, Porrón Moñudo, Garza Real, Curruca Capirotada, Escribano Palustre and Carricero Común.
