The Knarbos Oost is a young forest area with reeds and small marshy parts. You can spot almost all summer guest songbirds there, because there are so many hawthorn bushes. For example Ruiseñor Común, Curruca Zarcera, Curruca Zarcerilla and Zarcero Icterino. In the young forest you can already find Pico Picapinos and Pico Menor. In the fields around the forest, the Chorlito Carambolo is sometimes seen in the spring, and in the winter Busardo Calzado and Esmerejón.

Nederlands: Het Knarbos Oost is een mooi, klein bosgebied met veel zangvogels. Het is een jong bosgebied met riet en kleine moerassen. Je kunt er nagenoeg alle zomergast zangvogels spotten, omdat er zoveel meidoornstruiken zijn. Bijvoorbeeld Ruiseñor Común, Curruca Zarcera, Curruca Zarcerilla en Zarcero Icterino. In het jonge bos zitten al Pico Picapinos en Pico Menor. In de akkers rond het bos wordt in het voorjaar wel eens de Chorlito Carambolo gezien en in de winter Busardo Calzado en Esmerejón.

Knarbos Oost is located south of Lelystad Airport. It is easily accessible via Vogelweg N706. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The area is best explored on foot. The circular walk indicated on the map is approximately 4 km.
