The Zuidpier is a about 1000 meter long path in the North Sea where birds are resting and where you find regular surprises mainly in the migration period. Nice birds you can see here are: Bisbita Costero, Vuelvepiedras Común, Correlimos Tridáctilo, Gaviota Tridáctila, Gaviota Enana, Charrancito Común, Correlimos Oscuro. The pier is especially interesting after heavy autumn storms, because various species of seabirds can be observed here. Think of Alca Común, Arao Común, Alcatraz Atlántico and sea ducks like Negrón común.

Nederlands: De Zuidpier is een van de bekendste hotspots voor vogels kijken in Nederland. Een 1000 meter lange pier die dus ver de Noordzee in steekt waar vogels rusten en waar je vooral in de trekperiode regelmatig voor verrassingen komt te staan. Leuke vogels die je hier kunt zien zijn: Bisbita Costero, Vuelvepiedras Común, Correlimos Tridáctilo, Gaviota Tridáctila, Gaviota Enana, Charrancito Común en Correlimos Oscuro. De pier is vooral interessant na zware herfststormen, dan zijn hier verschillende soorten zeevogels te zien. Denk aan Alca Común, Arao Común, Alcatraz Atlántico en zee-eenden als Negrón común.

Accesso
You can park at the (payed) parking Kennemerstrand. From there you need to walk 15 to 20 minutes to reach the Zuidpier. Click on the P in the map for directions.
