The area of the Salmsacher Aachmündung has different biotopes. Forest, stream and lake give the opportunity to observe different bird species. Gaviota Reidora, Garza Real, Ánade azulón, Focha Común, Gallineta Común, Cormorán Grande, Cisne Vulgar, Martín Pescador Común and Somormujo Lavanco are practically certain to be spotted during a visit.
Depending on the season and luck, you can also discover Mito Común, Graja, Charrán Común, Garceta Grande, Pato Colorado, Ánade friso, Porrón Moñudo, Cigüeña Blanca, Pico Picapinos, etc. In winter, flocks of thousands of individuals can be observed.
