Çelebibağı Marshes has different habitats that attract many bird species. The landscape is unique with vast mud flats in the Lake Van closed basin. Shorebirds and other water birds are abundant and the diversity of birds is impressive. Among the birds you can observe in the area are Tarro Canelo, Flamenco Común, Rascón Europeo, Grulla Común, Cerceta Carretona, Cigüeñuela común, Avoceta Común, Chorlitejo Grande, Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental, Culebrera Europea, Busardo Moro, Pájaro-moscón Europeo, Abejaruco Europeo, Carraca Europea, but also rare birds like Cisne Cantor, Cisne Chico, Falaropo Picofino and many more.
