Reputedly 192 species visit the area and wetlands around the village of Gökova, mostly on migration. That includes 5 species of lark, 4 of wheatear, vagrant falcons. 60 species breed including Zarcero Icterino and Carricero Tordal. Also Alción de Esmirna can be spotted. Wintering wildfowl such as Cerceta Común, Ánade rabudo norteño and Barnacla cuelliroja. Boat trips available along the river and coastline. All seasons good except in summer heat.
