Hersek Lagoon is an easy place to go by car. If you want to be in a wetland where you can expect rare birds in Turkey such as Barnacla cuelliroja, Negrón especulado, Zampullín Cuellirrojo, Porrón Bastardo and much more you can take your chance in this place. There is a nice visitor centre and observation tower as well. Also, this area is located on the migration flyway of soaring birds such as Cigüeña Blanca, Busardo ratonero, Águila Moteada, Águila Pomerana and many more. It is also possible to see waders or shore birds. Flamenco Común gather in winter that you can see closely. Also several other places of interest you can visit besides the Hersek Lagoon birding area.
