Buckshaw Wood is an area of ancient woodland with diverse trees, birds and wildlife. The area has a big breeding colony of Graja in nesting season. Other birds you can observe include Mito Común, Herrerillo Común, Carbonero Común, Carbonero Garrapinos, Gorrión Común, Gorrión Molinero, Avión Común, Curruca Zarcerilla, Pico Menor, Agateador Euroasiático, Mosquitero Común, Chochín Común, Zorzal Charlo and Zorzal Común.

Buckshaw Wood is located in the middle of Buckshaw Village. Parking available in surrounding streets. Press P on the map for directions. Allow up to an hour or 90 minutes if birdwatching. There are well trodden, marked and signposted paths upon visiting. The area is poorly marked on online maps.
