Descripción
The Deben Estuary is a nationally and internationally significant wintering area for up to 6,000 Chorlito Dorado Europeo, 600 Aguja Colinegra, Archibebe Común and 400+ Avoceta Común. Also Correlimos Común, Correlimos Gordo, Chorlito Gris and Avefría Europea. Porrón Osculado at Martlesham Creek and Colimbo Grande at Ramsholt. Somormujo Lavanco, Zampullín Cuellirrojo, Zampullín Cuellinegro and Rascón Europeo possible. Small flock of Pardillo Piquigualdo most winters. High tides are best for seeing roosting waders, check tide times and height first (see the link below). Take care not to get cut off by exceptionally high tides.

From Ipswich take A12 to Woodbridge then various minor roads to Waldringfield on south bank or Bawdsey on north bank. Boat hire available Woodbridge or Waldringfield.
