Descripción
Glasfynydd Forest has mostly moorland and woodland species eg Tarabilla común, Lagópodo Común, Colirrojo Real, Agachadiza común, Agachadiza Chica, Esmerejón, Cernícalo vulgar and Milano Real. In winter Alcaudón Norteño, Piquitureto Común, Camachuelo Común, Jilguero Lúgano and Pardillo Alpino. Few birds on the reservoir but Cerceta Común, Garza Real and Serreta Grande possible. Mirlo-acuático Europeo and Lavandera Cascadeña below the dam. For Chotacabras Europeo, look for a recently felled forest area with regrowth of bracken, bramble etc - only active after dark between May and August.

From Swansea take A4067 Tawe valley road then left two miles beyond Danyrogof caves. From A40 Brecon/Llandovery road, turn south from Trecastle. Buses through Trecastle regularly. Train station at Llandovery. The circular walk around the reservoir is 8 km.
