Descripción
The Spit provides a raised viewpoint from which the adjacent marshes and open sea may be viewed. The marshes are tidal and provide habitat to waders such as Zarapito Real, Chorlitejo Grande and Vuelvepiedras Común with waterfowl such as Tarro Blanco. The scrub on the Point is home to Bisbita Pratense and Pardillo Común.

Accesso
Parking is availble in Milford-on-Sea and Keyhaven, but these are likely to be busy at weekends and summer. The Spit is only accessible on foot, along shingle paths which connect to the Point. There are also foot ferries from Keyhaven to the Point. Much of the terrain is shingle and unsuitable for wheelchairs.

Hurst Castle is sited on Hurst Point and is a popular local destination so the area will be busy during holidays and weekends. This also means that toilets and refreshments are usually available (but check the Hurst Castle website). The marshes may also be viewed from the coastal road to Keyhaven.
