Descripción
Lodmoor RSPB reserve has extensive reedbeds, wader scrapes and tern nesting islands. The reserve is very close to Weymouth Bay making it a good place for migrants. In the last ten years some of the birds seen are Abubilla común, Alcaudón Común, Torcecuello Euroasiático, Alcaudón Dorsirrojo, Charrán Embridado, Agujeta Gris, Correlimos Zancolín and Bisbita Gorgirrojo. Making this reserve a gem on the South coast.

Accesso
The reserve is roughly a mile from the town centre of Weymouth, take the A353, then onto the B3155 (Preston Road). The reserve is signposted and the entrance is on Preston Beach Road just past Lodmoor Country Park. The circular walk that is shown on the map is 2,6 km.

The reedbeds extend beyond the marked circular footpath to the East and North West, with roads and footpaths enabling birders to search off reserve areas. As well as the reserve, REMEMBER to check Weymouth Bay along seafront, for Divers/Grebes/Seaducks/Seabirds and other Pelagic species, especially during onshore winds.
