Descripción
NWT Ranworth Broad is accessible to all and boasts a great visitor centre (which is open in the spring and summer) with wide views over Ranworth Broad. The broad (lake) itself offers chances to see Somormujo Lavanco, Martín Pescador Común and Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental throughout the year, while the boardwalk trail supports Carbonero Palustre, Camachuelo Común and Rascón Europeo may also be heard.
In winter, the broad will be busy with feeding wildfowl including Silbón Europeo, Cerceta Común, Cuchara Común, Ánade rabudo norteño and a few Porrón Moñudo. In periods of harsh weather, Avetoro Común, Porrón Bastardo and other scarcer species may be seen. The alder trees on the trail from the car park may hold good numbers of Jilguero Lúgano and Pardillo Alpino.
In summer, there is a chance of seeing a flyover Águila Pescadora, but more likely, there will be plenty of Charrán Común feeding over the broad. Large gatherings of Golondrina Común, Avión Común and Avión Zapador may also be seen. Listen out for the songs of Mosquitero Común, Carricerín Común, Carricero Común and even a Cuco Común along the boardwalk trail.
