Dingle Marshes forms part of one of the largest freshwater reedbeds in the UK. The reeds are cut annually to provide ideal habitat for breeding reed birds. The area contains many of the birds found at Minsmere i e Avetoro Común, Bigotudo, Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental, Alondra Común, Charrancito Común colony, Tarabilla común, Curruca Rabilarga, Avoceta Común, Rascón Europeo, migrant waders. In winter, Aguilucho pálido, Escribano Nival, Pardillo Común, Pardillo Piquigualdo and 20,000 Estornino Pinto in murmuration at dusk. Otters and five species of deer.

The reserve is open 24/7, free car park and entry. 30 miles NE of Ipswich, follow A12 to Yoxford then minor roads through Westleton and Dunwich. Nearest bus stop at Blythburgh, 3 miles. Nearest railway stop, Saxmundham, 8 miles.
Suggested route around the reserve is 6 km but note the beach may be closed in spring and summer to protect nesting terns.
