Descripción
Created in the 1990's on the site of a former reserve - Wath Ings. Has a track record of passage waders, especially in the Autumn. Around 30 species of wader are recorded annually - including a good chance of a rarity. A range of habitats mean a good species list can be built easily in a morning or afternoon. Gorrión Molinero breed around the centre and the reedbeds have breeding Avetoro Común, Rascón Europeo and Bigotudo. Breeding waders and wildfowl include Avoceta Común, Cerceta Carretona and Porrón Europeo and the gull colony is of national importance and includes Gaviota Cabecinegra. A large Estornino Pinto roost generally forms most winters.
