Descripción
The area is surrounded by a golf course and a number of farms, several of which are owned or managed by RSPB with extensive wildlife managed farmland, freshwater marshes, reedy drains and scrub. It is located on Sandwich Bay with a National Nature Reserve preserving mudflats and saltwater marsh. Recently expanded 'Restharrow Scrape' attracts many rarities (Scrapes are shallow depressions with gently sloping edges, which seasonally hold water).
