Descripción
The areas of Beech make up the main components of the SSSI but the other areas include Oak, Alder, Willow and some Ash areas and also wet flushes and open glades that make the area suitable for a wide range of species. Once you reach the top of the site you are into open moorland with the associated species including Alondra Común Bisbita Pratense and occasional Esmerejón and Aguilucho pálido. Other regular raptors on site include Cernícalo vulgar Milano Real Halcón Peregrino and Busardo ratonero . You can also look for Colirrojo Real, Pito Real, Pinzón Real, Cuco Común and Papamoscas Cerrojillo.

Parking: there is a car park at the entrance of the site at the top of Cendle Terrace, Cwm, Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent (sat nav should find it).
The site can only be accessed on foot and has no facility for disabled access. For more detailed information visit the Gwent wildlife trust website www.gwentwildlife.org.
