On the island of Tiree 133 bird species have been seen. The freshwater Loch a'Phuill attracts waders such as Archibebe Oscuro, Chorlito Carambolo, Archibebe Claro and Andarríos Chico. In the dunes there may be Escribano Lapón, Escribano Nival, Guión de Codornices, Búho Campestre or Buscarla Pintoja. The cliffs at Ceann a Mhara are a useful seawatch point in autumn and have breeding Arao Común, Alca Común, Fulmar Boreal, Gaviota Tridáctila, Cormorán Moñudo and perhaps Halcón Peregrino or Chova Piquirroja.

Accesso
Tiree is reached by ferry from the mainland, or by air from Glasgow. The loch and cliffs are accessed from Barrapol or Balephuil in the island's SW corner.
