Descripción
The main areas of interest are;
1. Gamber Meadows - reedbed, river and rushy swamp. Access from St Weonards, see map. May have Martín Pescador Común, Agachadiza común, Gavilán Común, Lavandera Boyera, Cárabo Común, Escribano Palustre and Carricero Común.
2. Pencoyd fishing and irrigation pools. Park at Pencoyd church. May have Pito Real, Pico Picapinos, Lavandera Cascadeña, Zorzal Charlo, Tarabilla común, Curruca Zarcera, Curruca Capirotada, Garza Real, Busardo ratonero, Cernícalo vulgar and Cuervo Grande.
3. Apple orchards north of Michaelchurch. 100's of Zorzal Real and Zorzal Alirrojo in winter.
4. Stubble fields, field margins sown for pheasants etc - attract flocks of Alondra Común, Pardillo Común, Jilguero Lúgano, Grajilla Occidental and occasional Pardillo Alpino and Pinzón Real in late autumn. Milano Real and Cuervo Grande.
Mammals in the area include roe and muntjac deer, hare, red fox and badger.

Accesso
St Weonards is midway between Hereford and Monmouth on the A466. Buses every two hours from either town. Parking opposite the school then walk through churchyard. Please do not park by the church, as this obstructs farmer's machinery. The circular route from St Weonards is about 5 km.
Pencoed and Michaelchurch are near Harewood End on the A49 Hereford-Ross road. Buses are hourly from either town. The circular route from Pencoyd church is about 3 km.
