Descripción
Stoke Woods is a mixed woodland now designated as a Country Park. Being so close to Exeter it can get VERY BUSY especially during Summer and at Weekends. A visit earlier in the day on Weekdays may be better time to visit with a good chance to see Chocha Perdiz, some other species are Pico Picapinos and the ever rarer Pico Menor especially during February/March.
The Woods are good for numerous other passerines such as Mosquitero siberiano, Mosquitero Silbador, Mosquitero Musical, Curruca Mosquitera, Curruca Capirotada.

BE AWARE, some paths are extremely steep and challenging.
In recent years mountain bikers are miss using the wood by making their own trails, some of which can be extremely dangerous to walkers.
For those with time check out Stoke Canon Meadows nearby (see separate entry) and Stoke Canon to Brampford Speke also nearby (see separate entry).
