Descripción
This stretch of the river Truro is an appealing site for a quick visit being close to central Truro. Parking is easy and free along the road or at adjacent Boscowan Park. View from Sunny Corner or the wooded walk to Malpas. Best known for a varied selection of waders including wintering flocks of up to 100 Aguja Colinegra and 400 Correlimos Común. These are joined by the most westerly wintering Avoceta Común with up to 4 along with regular Archibebe Claro, Zarapito Trinador, Andarríos Chico and the occasional Archibebe Oscuro.
In passage periods these are joined by small numbers of Correlimos Gordo, Aguja Colipinta and Chorlitejo Grande. Wintering wildfowl includes good numbers of Tarro Blanco, Silbón Europeo and Cerceta Común. Scarce species in the last few years have included Garcilla Bueyera, Espátula Común, Morito Común, Ánsar piquicorto, Milano Real and Águila Pescadora.

Accesso
The area is easy to access by walking, car, taxi or bicycle from Truro. There is an irregular bus service from Truro. Sunny Corner is accessible for wheelchairs. Above the Sunny Corner garden there are 2 viewpoints giving views up Calenick Creek where birds roost at high-tide.
