Valley Wetlands RSPB Reserve has Avetoro Común that can be heard booming and occasionally flying over the reedbeds. There is a Avión Zapador colony on the river Crigyll, plus Escribano Palustre, Carricero Común, Carricerín Común, Buscarla Pintoja, Tarabilla común and Alondra Común. In winter Cuchara Común, Silbón Europeo, Cerceta Común and Ánade rabudo norteño. Best to visit before 8.30 am as the jets from the aerodrome are noisy later on. There are otters, dragonflies and pyramid orchids.

Valley Wetlands has a car park on site. The reserve is in the NW corner of Anglesey and accessible by bus or car, see link below. There is also a train station at Rhosneigr.
